Normal News became the second student newspaper in SUNY Cortland's history. The paper ran from 1879 until Cortland Normal School tragically burned down in 1919. The paper's name reflected SUNY Cortland's predecessor institution. From 1919 until 1925, the school was rebuilt and no student newspapers were distributed until 1925 when the paper changed its name to Co-No Press.
