Eta Sigma Gamma was established in 1967 and the first members were initiated in 1968 at Ball State University. Throughout the history of the organization, Eta Sigma Gamma members have been involved in educational, research, service, and advocacy activities. The Honorary has been involved with other professional health education/health promotion organizations and is part of the Coalition of National Health Education Organizations.
