Description

This poster highlights the work of Ruth Jeanette Young, a student at SUNY Cortland during the early 1900s. Young kept the majority of her essays from her time here at Cortland; all of them ranged from about 2-3 pages in length, and included a very rigid outline that was directly correlated to the content of her essays. As an English teacher, I wanted to compare the writing process of English students in the early 1900s to the writing process of current students of English.
