Description
Time management is the skill of organizing and planning how to divide time effectively among various tasks, which helps individuals accomplish more with less stress. By setting priorities, creating schedules, and managing distractions, one can maximize productivity and achieve a balanced lifestyle. This aligns closely with Self-Regulated Learning (SRL), a comprehensive framework that emphasizes active engagement in the learning process, where students take deliberate steps to manage aspects like cognition, motivation, and behavior to achieve academic goals (Cassidy, 2011; Panadero, 2017; Pintrich & Zusho, 2007). Effective time management means knowing how to allocate time not only to academics or work but also to self-care, relationships, and rest. SRL models highlight that students who actively manage these aspects experience greater academic success and well-being, as they work with structure and purpose (Boekaerts & Corno, 2005; Zimmerman, 2000). Practicing these skills can lead to a sense of control, reduced anxiety, and an improved capacity to handle responsibilities with clarity and confidence.
