Description
The lesson that I chose to teach the class was about the many ways of getting involved on campus. The reason why I wanted to teach this lesson was because it is a good way to transition into college. “College students who are involved in activities are more likely to feel a sense of belonging and adjust more easily to college life.” (CollegeData, 2021) I wanted my students to be aware of the resources and activities that are offered at Suny Cortland. I talked about my own experiences of getting involved and how it has benefited me throughout college. “College learning depends on belongingness and personal motivation” (Thibodeaux, 2021) and this is the reason why I am emphasizing the importance of getting involved in my Cor 101 class.
