Description
The topic I chose to teach was "How to Park." It is a lesson about all things Park Center, with a little play on words. I chose to teach my students how to get around, and the importance of Park Center because it is their main building. The bulk of a physical education major's classes are in Park Center, and all of their advisors are located there as well. It is important for them to get to know the building well in order for them to adapt and feel comfortable with their new lives here at Cortland! Visiting and getting to know a new building will help to remove anxiety about not knowing where anything is which can be a big stressor especially for first-year students. (Mulhern 2022)
