I went in with an end goal, asking myself, “How can I best affect my students in ways they can integrate into their tool kit? From this I worked backwards, putting myself in the shoes of my students. Between a collection of progressive self conversation and utilization of my strengths, I compiled a lesson plan targeting the importance of communication and its strong connection with leadership. Discussing communications' role in leadership, our students participated in a blind drawing challenge in an energetic atmosphere where communication felt natural. Through this group challenge, students were invited to collaborate with each other to beat other teams. My interactive lesson was designed and executed to exhibit self and social awareness, creating a building block for their future.
