I wanted to create a lesson on SMART Goals because I believe goal setting whether it be personal, academic, or both is extremely important. The goals we set for ourselves are the foundation for our success. Specifically SMART goals help us to set clear and realistic goals. During college it can be very easy to get distracted and lose sight of the goals you set for yourself, doing this lesson I felt that my students were able to clearly identify what goals they want to achieve and explain what they will do to get there. During my research I found that studies show people who write down their goals are 42% more likely to obtain them.
