My poster will explore how excessive screen time affects not only college students’ mental health, but also their sleep quality and academic focus. Many students spend hours online, whether it be for educational or social reasons, and they often don't realize how overusing technology increases stress and decreases productivity. According to research, high daily screen use can contribute to anxiety, sleep problems, and reduced attention span. By learning digital mindfulness strategies, such as setting screen-free times, using focus apps, and being intentional about social media, they can improve overall well-being. The goal of my poster is to encourage students to make small yet responsible choices that can help create a healthier relationship with technology and improve their mental wellness.
