My presentation focuses on helping college freshmen understand the importance of personal wellness and understand deeper what it truly is. Wellness isn't just about staying physically healthy, it is about finding a balance between your mind, body, and emotions so that you can feel your best in and outside of class. My presentation looks at why wellness can be hard to maintain with busy schedules, social changes, poor sleep, and stress. I also talk about how these challenges and changes can affect one's motivation, grades, and overall happiness. I also included ways that you can stay on top of your wellness like, eating well, managing your time, connecting with others, and setting realistic goals. Lastly, I also reminded students that if they are struggling to utilize their resources. I mentioned the on campus Counseling and Wellness center and how much of a helpful resource it is. Overall, my presentation is encouraging students to take care of themselves and put themselves first so they can create a healthy and balanced lifestyle that can support their success and their well-being.
