Photograph of the James Hoose Library at Southern California. In 1891, Hoose left Cortland for California. There was a professor of philosophy and pedagogy, then dean, to eventually becoming the Chancellor of faculty. In his honor the library was named for him. The photograph is Crica 1920's.
