The topic I chose was “College Mental Health”. I chose this particular topic because hundreds of thousands of college students struggle everyday with their mental health and wellness. Whether this be depression, stress, anxiety, eating disorders or sleeping disorders, they all have a tremendous effect on our every day lives. In a study shown through, over three quarters (77%) of college students felt that they experienced moderate to severe psychological distress (Venable, 2022). Along with this, the National Library of Medicine talks about depression , and one cause that stood out was lifestyle habits. This includes not enough physical activity, sleeping habits, substance abuse, and nutritional habits.
